A transformative, 14-week programme inspired by The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron, which encourages participants to explore and reclaim their creativity. Building on established principles of creative expression, this programme is designed to engage participants from diverse backgrounds in Laois, offering them an opportunity to unlock their creative potential, develop a personal practice, and build a supportive artistic community.

*Free to attend but participants must bring their own copy of the Book - available locally at AllBooks and News, Lyster Square.

  • Empower Creative Growth: Facilitate your creative development through structured weekly activities and discussions based on The Artist’s Way.
  • Build a Creative Community: Foster connections among local participants and provide an environment where you feel supported to explore your creativity.
  • Promote Mental Well-being through Art: Encourage reflection and self-expression to support mental well-being and resilience.

  • Week 1: Introduction and Orientation – Setting expectations and outlining the journey ahead.
  • Weeks 2-13: Weekly sessions based on each chapter of The Artist’s Way, which will include:
    Guided discussions on weekly themes (e.g., overcoming creative blocks, self-confidence, exploring personal dreams). Exercises designed to spark creativity and self-reflection, such as "morning pages" and "artist dates."
    Group discussions to foster community and peer support.
  • Week 14: Wrap-up and Reflection – Celebrating the journey and planning for continued creative practice beyond the programme.

Each session will be facilitated by a skilled professional experienced in creative facilitation and community engagement.

The programme aims to positively impact participants by fostering creativity, building confidence, and enhancing well-being.
